Christian Faith: For Encouragement of One Another

In the world where we are living today, we can observe a lot of things that we have not seen in our practice of the Christian faith in the past. If we belong to a certain church or denomination, like the Pentecostal churches in Lexington KY; we can easily see why there are sad transformations in our churches now. Every Christian church is full of unsatisfied humans who find joy in having to pull down their colleagues in the congregation than extending the effort to build them up. We can therefore conclude that even if all the faiths in the world disappeared, the Christians who will be left will still be fighting with each other which should not have been so.

We have learned in the scriptures that all followers of Christ here on earth must be one. But how could this be when at present, we have 37,000 official denominations in the Christian world and that includes the Pentecostal churches in Lexington KY. The whole Christian world is so divided today that nobody can tell what will unite them and make them one. Though what remains is the true realization that we are using the same Bible hence we believe in what the Holy Words of God is telling all of us.

We can observe that Baptists are mocking the Pentecostals and the Pentecostals are also mocking the Baptists while they both mock the Catholic Church. This is a usual observation including the members of the Pentecostal churches in Lexington KY. Aside from this, there are still other diverse ways of mockery and we can easily detect that the church is now full of hate, envy, malice, jealousy, and other kinds of wicked behaviors.

If we are currently in search of a church for our family, we will find it very hard and confusing trying to find one. There are so many options out there where each claim to be the only ones who are righteous; and all the other churches are wrong. We have been forewarned that it is our Christian responsibility to our brothers to build their faith up and encourage them. However, we can observe the opposite wherein members of the church mock other denominations especially those they cannot agree with.

Instead of thinking negative of them when we meet them, we must take time to get to know the people who are members of other denominations. God wants all of us to have only love and fellowship for each other because we are all brothers through our faith in Jesus Christ. Our Christian obligation tells us that we should encourage one another and not pull each other down.
